Cadel Evans has won the 2011 Tour de France.

After competing in the event for 7 years, Cadel’s win proves that persistence, courage, determination and hard work pay off. He’s a great role model and an Awesome Aussie!

However, you can’t win the Tour de France on your own. You need a very supportive and dedicated team of management and fellow riders to win, and this year Cadel had a great team behind him.

Hey Narelle, I love this new format. I’ve been meaning to ask you about the photos — what flower is that? It looks like it’s underwater. Nature is so amazing!

      Hi Marcia

You did ask me before – it’s a hakea of course! Hakea laurina. We have maybe about 150 different types of hakea in this country. They are only found in Australia. Not all of them are as showy as Hakea laurina. They are all unique and beautiful in their own way. If I had a big block of land I would grow all of the different types – I love ’em.

Sorry, I meant to reply to your post — congratulations to Mr. Evans. You’re so right: he doesn’t do it on his own. Good for him, not giving up after 7 years. A lesson for us all.

      Hi Marcia

I was thinking the other day…

it would be good to travel the route of the Tour de France by bicycle. I know the route changes slightly every year, but it would be good to pick one and do the tour. It’s 3000 kilometres so it would probably take me 3 months rather than 3 weeks like the pro riders do.

      Thanks Eliz

It’s all too easy with WordPress, just had to hand over $45 of my hard earned money. I really like the themes where the posts are separated.
